About The Company
Harpenden Technology Solutions Ltd is a Harpenden-based computer, networking and multi-media technology support company owned and operated by a local resident, Peter Revell. We provide technical support, installation, set-up, guidance and training on all aspects of Information and Communication Technology for small businesses and people working from home. We also provide services for users of computer and multi-media technology in the home. (e.g. Laptops, PCs, Wi-Fi, broadband, digital video and audio streaming, TV and hi-fi integration etc). |

Some Background
After many years supporting and managing IT, and being the 'first port of call' for family and friends for anything technical, I decided to use my technical knowledge and enthusiasm to start up this small local business. This has also provided me with the working flexibility I require as primary carer for our young son.
People tell me my most useful skill is being able to understand complex technical issues and explain them in simple, easy to understand language when required. I can help guide you to to make the right choice and get the most from your technology, for your business or home.

I am keen to help small local businesses (including mine!) to thrive. I believe a strong local business community helps define our small part of the world. Professional Experience
I have over 14 years experience working for Information Technology companies, gained Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) status in 1998 and have always enjoyed getting the most out of the latest technology in the home. I began working within IT before the 'PC' and Microsoft were dominant. Experience with different systems has given me a thorough background knowledge of computers, peripherals and networking and the skills to deal effectively with anything 'interesting' that you may put my way.
I started in IT as a computer and network service engineer and progressed to running several different IT support teams. I have also worked as a technical consultant for a large multi-national company and had IT and network infrastructure management roles for end-user organisations. My training experience includes teaching engineering and computer studies at college as well as teaching technology and computer application classes for local organisations to a wide range of users. |
